But he never full believed they were real. Until now-- Life has been unkind to Rudi, and to Lucie and Elsebeth, the two little girls he looks after. So when this stranger announces he needs Rudi's help to uncover Hansel's treasure, Rudi sees a way out. ... Then the unthinkable happens: Lucie and Elsebeth are stolen! Who would take them? Can't imagine why this is the 1st review! Read this in 2sittings even though, at 240 pages, it IS a book/ I couldn't stop reading to find out what happened next! I won't give away any of the plot or storyline, but there are enough twists to keep you entertained without confusing you or boring you which sometimes happens in a less masterfully told story. After reading this, I simply Must look into everything else available from the author. This is suitable for teens to old geezers of 57 years like myself. Surely destined to be a Classic & one I will remember fondly forever! I can't recommend this book highly enough.
